Usefull Things

A good and simple application for the HD2 is light-me. It is a torch that uses the camera flash and has three stages of brightness. Download it from HERE

Another good application is called BsB Tweaks 1.6. It is used to do things like 'get hidden camera modes' etc. Get it HERE

NOTE: For these .cab files you just copy them to your phone and click install via file explorer

go to www.forum.xda-developers.com and find the HTC HD: Leo and you can find themes and applications for it.

Dual Boot Android and Windows Mobile 6.5

Click HERE and download Jmz Android Dual-Boot. Copy the file onto the root of your sd card and install. Restart your hd2 and you can choose which OS to use.

Android on the HTC HD2

First of all, I am using the HD2: Leo and the build in the tutorial will be the Froyo build (the HTC Desire) - I found this to be the best.

Step 1:-Flash HardSPL

Go to HERE and download HSPL3. Then plug your hd2 into your computer, open hspl3 and follow the instructions.

Step 2:-Flash newer ROM with CustomRUU

Download CustomRUU from HERE and put it in a new folder. Then Click HERE to download Leo_RADIO_2.12.50.02_2. rename this to 'RUU_Signed.nbh' and put it in the folder with CustomRUU.exe. Open CustomRUU and it will flash the radio. Then copy RUU_Signed.nbh to the hd2 sd card. Turn the phone off. Then press and hold the volume down button, then the power button and follow the instructions to 'update image'.

Another way is to simply rename Leo_RADIO_2.12.50.02_2. to 'LEOIMG', copy it to the sd card on the phone, hold volume button then power button and update image. this method works best for me.

Sometimes you will have to flash a ROM, not just a radio. To do this click HERE to download 'Android with Sense v5.7z'. To flash the ROM it is a similar process to flashing a radio. Put it in a folder with CustomRUU, name it 'RUU_Signed.nbh'. Connect your phone using Activesync and run CustomRUU. Just follow the instructions to flash the rom.

There are many different roms and radios you can flash, so experiment and find one that works best.

Step 3:-Installing Android (froyo)

Download a froyo build HERE and extract the 'Android' folder (with all files in in) to root of your SD Card. Before you boot android make sure you go to: Settings->Sound and display->backlight and uncheck automatically adjust backlight. Open file explorer and open up the android folder on your sd card. Then run CLRCAD (this will appear to do nothing) then run Haret. Now you should have android booted within a few minutes.

Note: All information was taken from the xda-developers website

I am now using a build of android called HD2ONE, i am using Chuckydroid rom and the same radio from this page, it now works almost flawlessly and is extremely smooth. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823471
